The four-step carpet process.

Each step matters. Skip one and the finish won't hold. Here's exactly what we do on every carpet job — from a single room to a whole house.

STEP 01

Cross-hatch vacuum.

Thorough vacuum pass in two directions to lift loose dirt, pet hair, and debris before any liquid touches the fibres.

Prep · no moisture
STEP 02

Pre-treatment & dwell.

Professional-grade pre-treatment sprayed into the carpet. We let it dwell for 10–15 minutes so it breaks down dirt at a molecular level.

Dwell · 10–15 min
STEP 03

Targeted agitation.

Heavily soiled zones and high-traffic lanes get agitated by hand, standing the fibres back up so extraction can reach deep.

Detail · by hand
STEP 04

Hot-water extraction.

Full rinse-and-extract with professional equipment. We do multiple dry passes to pull out as much water as possible — no shampoo residue left behind.

Clean · rinse + dry

Why this way.

Rental machines and one-step "shampoo and go" services leave residue behind — which attracts dirt again the moment carpets dry. Our process rinses clean.

No residueMulti-pass extraction rinses out the pre-treatment completely.
Pro-grade pre-treatmentBreaks down embedded soil before extraction, not just on the surface.
Manual agitationHeavy-traffic zones worked by hand, not just machine passes.
Multiple dry passesCarpets are left damp, not wet. Dry faster, resist re-soiling.
Pet-stain attempts freeWe always try to lift spots in the standard scope.

Honest notes.

A few things we tell every client up front — so there are no surprises.

Pet stains & stubborn spots.

We always try to lift stains in the standard scope. Heavy or old spots (especially set-in pet urine) may need extra treatment, extra time, and extra passes — if that's the case, we'll quote it separately and you decide whether to proceed. No surprise charges.

Dry time expectations.

Typical dry time is 12–24 hours under good conditions — moving air, reasonable humidity, open windows or fans. In a sealed basement in high humidity, it'll be longer. We'll advise per site.

What won't clean up.

Bleach spots, permanent dye transfer, structural damage, and certain rust or ink stains are not cleanable by any process. We'll tell you on arrival if a spot falls into this category.

When to book.

Most carpets benefit from a professional clean every 12–18 months. High-traffic areas, homes with pets, or allergy sufferers may want to go every 6–12 months.
